Fun Relays and Meet Pracitce

Over the past week CCHS has had some interesting practices.  Last Friday while the boys were at their meet with Chelmsford we girls had a fun relay practice.  The girls did fly to back, back to breast and  breast to free relays.  They also participated in a sculling relay and a doggy paddle while barking relay.  There was great enthusiasm for that relay!  It was fun to lighten the work load but still sneak in some skill work; starts, relay starts, IM turns and sculling !

This week we had no meets and the kids worked hard every day.  We closed out the week with a practice made up of a meet warm up and then swam every event in a dual meet, including the distance of each relay.  I was so impressed with the effort the kids put into this practice!  Our newer kids, lanes 7&8, accomplished the challenge too!  A special notice to Jack Gardner and Simon Li who I spotted jumping out of the pool and the end of this tough practice to crank out some push ups!  We have had plenty of room in the pool this week so lanes 7&8 didn't have to spend have their usual time on deck doing dry-land, perhaps those boys are missing it!?  Nice Work to all of you who participated in the vacation week workouts!
